We believe a small change to eat more sustainably is better than no change at all. By opting to buy food that has been reared and raised in a less intensive system, a system that is less efficient but cares for the ecosystem, wildlife, birds, bees & plants you can make a real difference.
What we do.
Our ethics and values are deep-rooted to the core of our business. We passionately believe in producing wholesome natural native food that has been grown with respect for nature. Our animals are cared for within an ecosystem so their actions have a positive impact on the environment.
We have specifically chosen breeds that are native to this part of the world. We do not rear Shorthorns because it is fashionable, we grow this traditional breed because it is designed for the terrain and climate here in Durham, having originated here in the late eighteenth century.
